Perhaps I didnt roll my pieces out thin enough, but I felt that this lacked flavor the texture was somewhat off it wasnt doughy enough for a lavash or true flatbread, but it wasnt crisp enough as a cracker. It was too salty for me so I ate them with yak cheese and honey. This comes pretty darn close. Everyone begged for the recipe! I should have increased the salt a bit too. I think theyd make a nice pizza base very flaky and almost pastry like. Served with blue corn chips and salsa. Now, I think Ill go make your Thick, Chewy, Granola Bars. Always love your words (and unflagging sense of gentle humour) about food, life, and the universe! 1/2 pound of hot roast beef, provolone, mayo, toasted on New Orleans French bread. I used 1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour and baked for 8 minutes. I let the whole thingbake a few more minutes. A definite keeper! wow, nice flat bread I do make flat breads but only plain mixing it with herbs such a good idea.. thanks for the post such an inspiration. Its delicious.
